Our mission is to be value based, quality conscious, innovative, inclusive and to emerge as the Best Faculty Training Centre of the nation by providing high quality training in teaching and learning for the benefit of University and College Teachers, efficient office management for Administrative staff and Research Methodology for Scholars

• To impart domain knowledge, teaching and assessment skills for the trainee teachers and research scholars.
• To offer faculty training programmes in various recent academic disciplines
• To orient how to teach fundamentals and to provide application experience
• To emerge as an action – research centre for the use of ICT for Teaching and Learning, Curriculum Development, Competency Mapping of various cadres at different levels of Higher Education Institutions and Learner Assessment.
• To provide equal opportunities to women teachers and research scholars, differently abled and minorities to become equal partners in meeting the scientific and technological manpower requirement of the nation.
• To emerge as a complete training and development centre for the Teachers, non-teaching staff and Officers of the University.
• We draw inspiration from the following verse of Mahakavi Subramania Bharathiar on whose name the University is established.
