The UGC-Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (Erstwhile Human Resource Development Centre), Bharathiar University was established in the year 1987 with 100 percent financial assistance from the University Grants Commission. It has been conducted 126 Orientation programmes and 11 Faculty Induction Programmes for the benefit of nearly 4,875 Higher Education teachers since 1987. And more than 12,100 teachers were benefited by 378 Refresher Courses, 30 Short Term Courses and 30 other programmes were conducted by our Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre in various branches such as Science, Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, Commerce, Languages, etc., and nearly 18,500 Teachers of Colleges and Universities were trained by our Centre.
